Misconceptions about the military. I get questions all the time about being in the military and what it's like after 25 years of serving as an active duty military member and then just shy of five as a civilian employee for the Air Force.

If you've never served, I guarantee it's not what you think.

Most people think about the picture below. That is very little of what actual military members see when serving their country. Of course, that depends on their job or in the Air Force, their AFSC or Air Force Service Code.
